Course Cost & Features

Extension online courses in Canvas Catalog can vary in cost-based course features, depending on who is doing the production. A 1-hour online course produced by a professional instructional designer with advanced features can cost between $5,000-$10,000. This figure can be significantly lower, depending on the desired features and the amount of work the faculty members do on their own.

USU Extension instructional designers use and support Canvas Catalog features. Depending on the intended audience and desired features, courses may be hosted on other e-learning platforms. Extension will bill for the recovery of expenses associated with the development and delivery of the online courses. Rates are subject to change, and non-Canvas Catalog platforms may have different/additional fees.
