This website is designed to be a faculty resource for online course development through USU Extension. It will guide you through the creation of a basic course to creating a more advanced course(s), if needed.

Levels of Extension Online Courses

Development begins with a basic level 1 course. Creating a level 1 course enables you to assemble useful information for the public, for little to no cost. A published level 1 course also allows for feedback and a market analysis, which may assist when considering whether to modify or expand your course.

Level 2 or 3 courses provide the customer with something more than just information. This can include a certificate of attendance, CEU's, badges, etc. Unlike level 1, these courses typically include registration fees and the involvement of instructional designers.
