Home and Community Department
The Utah State University Home and Community Department is a dynamic hub dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families throughout Utah. Through an array of comprehensive resources and initiatives, we address a diverse range of essential topics, including finance, health, wellness, nutrition, prevention, job readiness, resource management, food preservation, and emergency preparedness.
With a team of approximately 35 dedicated faculty members, we leverage the land grant mission to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical application, ensuring that our insights and innovations directly benefit the communities we serve. Our overarching purpose is to empower individuals and families with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to thrive in all aspects of their lives. We take pride in our innovative approach, constantly striving to enhance and evolve our resources to meet the ever-changing needs of both local and global populations. By offering accessible education, fostering behavioral change, and promoting sustainable practices, we are committed to making a tangible difference in the well-being and prosperity of those we reach.
Through our department, we aspire to be catalysts for positive change, fostering resilience, empowerment, and prosperity in every community we touch.
