Opioid Overdose Response Training

Service Industry Naloxone Trainings through HEART

This 45-minute long training teaches attendees what opioids are, specifically fentanyl. It includes how to recognize an opioid overdose; possible overdose locations (work, school, home); how to respond including using Narcan(r) nasal spray to reverse an overdose; Utah's Good Samaritan law; and mental health resources for those needing follow-up support and services. It can be taught in person or virtually, with or without a PowerPoint. Evaluations include pre, post, and six-week follow-up.
