This is a 1.5-hour workshop that covers best practices for preventing gardening-related injuries and minimizing pain. It teaches proper posture, techniques, and tool use while engaged in common gardening activities. The format consists of classroom discussion with a PowerPoint, plus hands-on practice with gardening tools, done outdoors if possible. It is best taught in person but can be taught virtually. The PowerPoint includes demonstration videos that can be shown during virtual implementation. Evaluations are a post-program evaluation and six-month follow-up.
