Professional Development:

Objective: Plan and develop programs to promote and provide professional improvement for UEAFCS members.

Goals/responsibilities of committee discussed at meeting:

  • Compile resources/updates to send out monthly such as “did you know so and so has ____ great program, _____ is looking for a someone to collaborate on this grant, _____ is a great curriculum and how to access it, upcoming classes that would be helpful for professional development (master food preserver, etc.), on-campus specialist resources, etc.
  • Work with FCS advisory committee when needed to give feedback for in-service or pre-conference trainings.

Membership Resources:

Objective: Promote membership in UEAFCS and NEAFCS.

Objective: Encourage members to apply for state and national awards.

Public Relations:

Objective:Help with writing impact reports. Relay the FCS message to the public through mass media.
