Fashion & Sewing

Whether creating as a 4-H At Home project or with your club, this project teaches youth critical skills of self-sufficiency as they learn about the tools and accessories required to produce clothing, quilts, and accessories. As youth progress in their knowledge and skills they will develop an understanding of textiles and their uses, the proper care and use of their tools, sewing construction techniques, design principles, and explore elements of fashion and interior design. Sewing is part of the Family Consumer Science (FCS) area that may include sewing, purchasing clothing, fashion design, clothing repair, modeling, quilting and more.
