4-H empowers youth to be healthy in both body and mind as they develop the skills to make healthy decisions and lead healthy lifestyles. Having the confidence and skills to lead healthy lifestyles not only improves overall well-being; it enables youth to tackle life’s challenges today and become leaders in their lives, careers and communities as they grow into responsible adulthood. Whether as a club or with 4-H At Home, learning to live a healthy lifestyle is great fun with 4-H.  Check our Club page to find a Healthy Living Club near you.

image of diverBeing physically active is key to a healthy life.  Utah County 4-H encourages youth of all ages to engage in regular activities.  To promote an active lifestyle, Utah County 4-H invites all 4-H member to learn more about our 4-H Virtual Fitness Challenge Series.

image of teens standingJoin our Teen Club!  Youth in grades 9-12 gather monthly to engage in activities and learning to promote healthy relationships.  The group meets, typically, the second Monday of each month at 4:30pm.

Partaking in a well balanced diet filled with fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, and dairy is essential to the development and maintenance of a healthy body and mind.  Eating well ensures our bodies obtain the nutrients required to for our daily living.

4-H Virtual Fitness Challenge Series

The Utah County 4-H Fitness Challenge Series is designed to encourage youth and adults to become physically active.  Physical activity is critical to a healthy body and lifestyle.  Being physically active aids in the reduction of health risks such as obesity or diabetes, improve overall mood, increase energy, and improve sleep.  Coupled with a healthy diet, the 4-H Fitness Challenge Series provides opportunities to get moving, earn rewards, and develop a lifestyle of fitness and well-being from youth to adulthood.
