Washington County 4-H offers a wide variety of programs, contests, events, and projects for youth throughout the county to learn by doing. Leadership
4-H Leadership empowers youth to develop confidence, communication, and decision-making skills through hands-on experiences and service. Whether leading a club, planning events, or mentoring peers county leadership is a great place to grow.
4-H Entrepreneurs
In collaboration with STEM outreach center located at Attwood Innovation Plaza.
Interior Design
Interior Design has youth dive into the fundamentals of interior design through hands-on activities and engaging projects. Club ends with a field trip to the Southern Utah Home Show.
STEM
STEM is a program area focused on science, technology, engineering, and math. It builds problem-solving and critical thinking skills through hands-on, real-world learning.
Shooting Sports
4-H Shooting Sports is a youth development program that teaches safe and responsible handling of firearms, archery equipment, and related outdoor skills. Through hands-on learning, certified instructors help youth build marksmanship, discipline, and self-confidence.
Large & Small Animals
Animals is a program area that teaches animal science, care, and responsible management of animals. Through hands-on experiences, students learn about animal health, nutrition, breeding, and more.
Horse
Horse is a program area that focuses on equine care, handling, and riding skills. Participants learn about horse health, nutrition, behavior, and training while developing responsibility, confidence and more.
Gardening
Grow skills and curiosity through hands-on gardening projects and events that connect youth to plants, soil, and food systems.
Natural Resources
For nearly 30 years, the Color Country Natural Resource Camp (CCNRC) has introduced high school students to natural resource career fields and a variety of recreation activities.
County Fair
Learn how 4-H youth can participate in the county fair, including entries, small animal shows and more!
Contests
4-H County Contests give youth the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, skills, and talents through friendly competition in areas like public speaking, demonstrations, judging, and more.

STEM Creations are monthly classes at the Washington County Libraries designed for younger youth.
iSEE Program
iSEE is a program where we come to your 5th grade class and teach a STEM science lesson.
Cook & Sew
Cooking and Sewing is a program area that builds practical life skills through hands-on learning. Participants explore nutrition, meal preparation, and kitchen safety, while also learning sewing techniques, fabric care, and creative design.
AWOL
AWOL—Adventures in Wilderness and Outdoor Leadership—aims to provide youth with opportunities to experience a variety of outdoor activities while learning leadership skills.
4-H & Youth
