What is the Agriscience Pathway?
Discover how agriculture and science connect through real-world, hands-on learning experiences designed for youth who love animals, plants, and the outdoors!
The Agriscience STEM Pathway introduces youth to plant science, animal systems, soil health, and sustainable agriculture. Participants learn through hands-on learning experiences such as growing crops, testing soil, and caring for animals. This pathway builds problem-solving skills while helping youth understand how science supports food systems and environmental stewardship.

Leadership Opportunities
Youth can grow as leaders by:
- Leading livestock workshops
- Teaching gardening lessons
- Starting an Agriscience Club in your neighborhood
- Serving as club officers
- Forming an Agriscience T.R.Y. Team, and lead a club or camp
- Mentoring younger members
- Applying to be a 4-H State Agriscience Ambassador, and help develop new engineering projects and activities
Service Opportunities
Participants can give back through:
- Community gardens
- Food drives
- Environmental stewardship projects
- Agricultural education outreach
- Mentoring younger members
- Serving as club officers
- or other ideas you come up with to make a meaningful impact
*Clubs completing Agriscience projects are eligible to complete the requirements to earn the Utah 4-H Service in STEM award by teaching others about agriscience or using agriscience skills to help your community.
