2023 Rural Opioid and Stimulant
Wellness Summit
About the 2023 Summit
Supporting substance use disorder recovery, prevention, and harm reduction in rural communities.
Utah State University Extension's HEART Initiative and Tribal & Rural Opioid Initiative are excited to present the 6th annual Opioid Wellness Summit! This year's event theme, "Open Roads to Health and Wellness: Providing rural communities with many pathways to build strong and healthy families," reflects our commitment to sharing ideas, strategies, and best practices to address the opioid and stimulant epidemic. This year's summit is a chance to discuss successes in the field of substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery, a time to learn and grow, as well as build readiness to address new and emerging rural wellness issues together.
Rural communities have strength in our connectedness and we are ready to take on new challenges to form new pathways. Connected, we will face the opioid overdose crisis and the emerging stimulant crisis. Join us to gather, participate, and assemble the needed resources for our open roads to health and wellness to build strong and healthy families. Featuring information for rural community members and professionals, you will learn from and connect with experts in the field as well as those with boots on the ground, including substance use disorder professionals, law enforcement and first responders, people in recovery, prevention specialists, medical providers, and more.
