Working Ranch Horse Program

The 4-H Working Ranch Horse Program provides an opportunity for youth to be involved in western horsemanship activities beyond the traditional show ring. Participants learn the age-old techniques of handling livestock while on horseback, as well as the leadership and responsibility that comes with being engaged in 4-H.

State Working Ranch Horse Gathering

• Date: TBD - Heber City, UT
• We will have both a NOVICE division and an OPEN division so the whole family can come and enjoy working some cows!
  • Novice division will follow the Junior rules and will not rope live cows.
  • The Open division will follow the Intermediate/Senior rules.
  • Open and Novice competitors will not be required to take the written test.
