4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential, working, and learning in partnership with caring adults. 4-H is the nation’s largest Positive Youth Development Program. 4-H focuses on learning by doing. Through our unique partnership with USU Extension we are able to provide opportunities for youth throughout Utah.

Join teens grades 9-12 from across the state at Teen Winter Retreat held in January. Youth participate in workshops about relationships and communication skills. Youth enjoy the outdoor winter activities as well as have the chance to ask our expert dating panel (Collegiate 4-H Members) questions. Come join the fun!

Livestock tagging is a key part of the 4-H Jr. Livestock Program. The date your animal is tagged with a Utah Junior Livestock Association tag is the date of official ownership. All Market Animals must be tagged by the specified deadlines in order to participate in Utah Jr. Livestock Shows.

The State 4-H Portfolio Contest is the only time of year to receive feedback about your 4-H resume and cover letter on a state level. The 4-H Portfolio is the standard application tool for all 4-H leadership positions and a valuable resource as you seek employment.
