Mustang Camp for 6th-12th graders
  • June 22
  • Start in Delta, end in Tooele
  • $60
  • This camp will provide youth across the state the opportunity to learn about the federal entities dedicated to managing public lands, rangelands, wild horses, burros, and the relationship between healthy lands and healthy horses. The unique symbolism surrounding wild horses and burros makes management a unique problem, and is why education is crucial for implementing effective management solutions. Research has shown that providing educational opportunities outside of the classroom is an effective way of cultivating personal interest and conservation stewardship in youth. Our hope is that this camp is a step towards understanding and appreciating the uniqueness of our wild horses and burros.
