4-H Councils

Salt Lake County 4-H has several volunteer councils that provide strong local support including:

Salt Lake County 4-H Volunteer Leader Mentors:  This organization is governed by 4-H volunteers and extension staff. Mentors provide leadership and guidance to the Salt Lake County 4-H volunteers. Their specific roles include volunteer and member recruitment, support and recognition; planning and implementation of 4-H activities and events; and marketing and promotion of the 4-H program. Salt Lake County 4-H Horse Council: This organization is governed by 4-H volunteers and extension staff.  It provides leadership and guidance for the local 4-H Horse Program. Contact vernon.parent@usu.edu.

Salt Lake County Junior Livestock Council:  This organization is governed by 4-H volunteers, FFA Advisors and extension staff.  It provides leadership and guidance for the Junior Livestock Program. Contact vernon.parent@usu.edu.

Salt Lake County 4-H Teen Council:  This organization is governed by 4-H teen and adult volunteers and extension staff.  It provides leadership opportunities for teen 4-H members through 4-H program planning and volunteer service. Contact vernon.parent@usu.edu.
