An invasive species is an organism that is not native to the local environment and is capable of harming the economy, environment, or human health. Not all non-native species are invasive. The term “invasive” is reserved for the most aggressive and destructive non-native species. Utah has several invasive species that are already well established and continue to cause damage. There are also many species that pose an imminent threat to Utah's econmics and environment.
