Upcoming Camps
Cost: $75 per participant Registration: Open Now until November 6 What is a Virtual Mustang Camp? This camp will provide youth the opportunity to virtually learn about the federal entities dedicated to managing public lands, rangelands, wild horses, burros, and the relationship between healthy lands and healthy horses. The unique symbolism surrounding wild horses and burros makes management a unique problem, and is why education is crucial for implementing effective management solutions. Research has shown that providing educational opportunities outside of the classroom is an effective way of cultivating personal interest and conservation stewardship in youth. Our hope is that this camp is a step towards understanding and appreciating the uniqueness of our wild horses and burros. Registered participants will receive a camp-kit in the mail with instructions and supplies to complete the activities on their own. This program is open to youth grades 5–12, including those not currently enrolled in 4-H (as of Sept. 1, 2026). Each evening, camp participants will meet virtually to discuss their activities, what they learned, and debrief as a nationwide group. Participating youth can earn prizes for extra credit assignments and engagement, and will earn a certificate of completion following the camp.
