Biography

Lael is Outreach Coordinator and communication specialist for the Institute, spending her days writing, interpreting, connecting people, and perfecting grammar. She is also a graduate of the department of Environment and Society, earning a master’s degree studying the social and recreation impacts of national monument designation, such as that of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Lael’s writes, publishes, tweets and posts the rich variety of research produced at IORT, and works to understand and communicate science in a way that is accessible to everyone, not just scientists.
