Calf Passive Transfer Evaluation
Find out how well passive transfer is working in your calves and where colostrum management may be improved.
Good passive transfer gives calves an important start. This service helps you look at results from your own herd and understand what they mean.
What Happens
- Sample calves: Blood samples are collected from at least 10 calves between 2–7 days of age.
- See how testing works: Learn how serum is separated with a centrifuge and checked with a Brix refractometer.
- Compare your results: Receive a summary of your herd results and see how they compare with industry benchmarks.
- Plan next steps: Review practical resources and management changes that may help improve colostrum practices.
Lameness Evaluation & Education
Get a clearer picture of lameness in your herd and learn practical ways to manage it.
This service can help you measure lameness, look for possible risk factors, and better understand hoof trimming and common hoof problems.

- Locomotion scoring: Evaluate the herd to estimate how common lameness is and compare results with FARM Program benchmarks.
- Risk factor evaluation: Look at herd and management factors that may be linked with lameness.
