This oak is columnar to upright-oval in shape when mature. It produces acorns that are 1” long and does not have any noticeable flowers. This variety is highly resistant to powdery mildew.

Leaf

Alternate, simple, obovate-oblong, 2-5” long, dark glossy green above, bluish green beneath.

Fruit

Acorn, 1” long, shiny brown, ripen the first year.

Not showy.

Disadvantages

Very large.
