Art in the Arboretum

Celebrate creativity at the 3rd Annual Art in the Arboretum, a free outdoor community event set against the beautiful backdrop of the Varga Arboretum. This year’s theme, Community in Bloom, honors connection, creativity, and the spirit of Kaysville as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Wander tree-lined paths and discover an inspiring showcase of local talent — from quilts and paintings to sculpture, 3-D printed creations, and storytelling — all thoughtfully displayed among the gardens. Enjoy live music, explore interactive art stations, add your own touch with sidewalk chalk, or participate in hands-on classes (additional fees apply). Come hungry and savor delicious eats from local food trucks, then find a one-of-a-kind piece of art to take home.

Join us to experience art and nature coming together in full bloom.

For questions about accessibility or to request accommodations, please contact our Outreach Manager, Alex Zesiger, at alex.zesiger@usu.edu prior to the event.

All proceeds and donations directly support the garden.

Venue Information

Art in the Arboretum takes place outdoors at the USU Botanical Center, a public garden with plant collections designed to inspire, educate, and connect people with the natural world.

An arboretum is a curated 'living museum' where mature trees, shrubs, and woody plants are cared for with the purpose of research, enjoyment, and education—making it the perfect setting for a day of art and community.

Admission and parking are free. Comfortable walking shoes, water, and sun protection are recommended as you explore the grounds.

The Iris Show will be held from 1–5 PM at the Wetland Discovery Point building, located just across the street. This space serves as our hub for nature-based field trips and water-quality education and offers an indoor space to view the displays.

Visitors can easily walk between the two locations, or choose to drive—parking is available at both sites.
