This crabapple reaches a size of 20’ x 20’ and is adaptable to most locations and soil types.  The flowers are magenta to pink in color and produce a maroon colored fruit in the late summer that persists through the winter.

Leaf

Alternate, simple, serrate, purple tinted when emerging, becoming dull bronze.

Fruit

Maroon, 1/2“ wide, persistent.

Flower

Single, magenta.

Advantages

Adapts to many different soil types, small habit.

Disadvantages

Dry fruit drop, susceptible to powdery mildew and fireblight.
