Ponderosa Pine
Planted 2008
The Ponderosa Pine is one of the most common pine trees in the western U.S. It is a very large tree, so it’s pretty difficult to miss. This is an evergreen tree that adapts to a range of soil types and weather conditions; however, it does not tolerate shade. In lower valleys and landscapes it typically has a shorter life expectancy than in its natural habitat. A great tree to consider, if you can find the room for it.
