This forsythia variety is known for its slightly larger yellow blooms in the spring. It is adaptable to many soils and pHs. Some pruning is necessary to rejuvenate growth and maintain shape, but is not required. If pruning, do it before mid-July or no blooms will grow for the next year.

Leaf
Opposite, simple, and lanceolate shape. Green in the summer, yellow in the fall.

Dehiscent capsule, brown with winged seeds inside.

Some pruning needed, occasional pest and disease problems.
