This dogwood is liked for its golden coloring and red bark. It is fairly easy to maintain with very little pruning necessary. It does well in wet or dry soils, can take full sun to part shade, and is resistant to deer and wind. It is susceptible to some pests, so watch for any signs of damage or distress.

Leaf
Opposite, simple, lanceolate, green middles with yellow edges, turns red in the fall.
Fruit
White fruit with a greenish tinge, drupe, attracts birds.
Flower
White cymes blooming from late spring to early summer (May-June).
Advantages
Can take full sun to part shade, year round interest, resistant to deer, wind, and dry soils.
Disadvantages
Susceptible to some pests, some suckering.
