This crabapple has an upright, oval shape with white flowers and persistent golden fruit. It grows quickly and averages around 25’ in height. Like all Crabapples it can be grown in most soil types, is drought tolerant and somewhat resistant to diseases.

Leaf
Alternate, simple, serrate, green in the Summer, yellow in the Fall.
Fruit
Gold, 3/5” diameter, 1/2-1” long, fruit lasts through December adding interest during the Winter.
Flower
Single, red to pink in bud, white petals, flowers 1 week later than other crabapples.
Advantages
Adapts to many different soil types, does well in the heat.
Disadvantages
Dry fruit drop in late winter.
