Green Mountain Linden

This type of linden tree grows rapidly and is more heat and drought tolerant than other Lindens. It has a dense, upright habit growing to about 45 feet in height. It is a great shade and ornamental tree, and it attracts pollinators in droves. The flowers that bloom June through July are fragrant and not overly messy.

Leaf
Alternate, simple, 2-5" long. Doubly serrate, dark green, decent yellow color in the fall.
Fruit
Egg shaped white nutlet with wings, attracts pollinators.
Flower
Yellow-white, fragrant, bloom June to July, 7-10 per cyme.
Advantages
Drought and heat resistant, cleaner than other Lindens, shade tree, less prone to insect damage.

No significant disadvantages.
