'Diana' Japanese larch

Larix kaempferi ‘Diana’

Planted 2008

This Japanese native tree prefers cold winters and cool summers. It is a deciduous conifer, with its needles falling off in the autumn. The ‘Diana’ cultivar has twisting and contorting branches. Its blue-green twisting needles turn a golden color in the fall. An unusual but intriguing conifer for landscapes. All Larch prefer a well-drained, organic rich soil.
