Many elms have unfortunately been decimated by Dutch Elm disease, however this variety is resistant (not immune) to the disease. This variety has a classic American Elm form. It tolerates salty soil, is cold hardy, and has a low water requirement. It is susceptible to other pests and diseases.

Alternate, simple, ovate-oblong, 3-6" long, unequal at base, serrated, dark green, yellow in fall.
