This viburnum is a compact variety. It gets to be 3-5 feet tall and wide. It has dark lustrous green leaves with white flowers in teh spring. Blue pitted fruits attract local birds. It can be drought tolerant once established. This is a low maintenance plant, though some light pruning helps its growth and blooms.

Leaf
Opposite, simple, and ovate. 2-4" long, dark green in the summer and red and orange in the fall.
Fruit
Pitted fruit, blue, oval shaped. Present in the late summer and early fall. Attracts birds.
Flower
Creamy colored, not pleasant smelling. Blooms May-June. Flat topped cymes.
Advantages
Adapts to different soil types, somewhat drought tolerant after establishing. Low maintenance.
Disadvantages
Prefers moist soils, susceptible to whiteflies, fruit can be messy.
