This species is grown for its foliage. It is called Bird's Nest because of the slight depression in the center of its mounding habit. It stays fairly small, getting to be 8' tall and 10-12' wide in perfect conditions It has some minor disease and pest issues.

Advantages

Adapts to many different soil types. Needs more water in extreme heat, but does well in full sun.

Disadvantages

Some minor pest and disease problems.
