Autumn Brilliance Apple Serviceberry

This small, attractive tree performs well in shady to semi-shady locations.  It prefers well-drained deep soils and is somewhat drought tolerant. The June berries are great to use for jams and pies.

Small, edible, red berries that taste similar to blueberries.

Disadvantages

Grows root suckers that can be difficult to remove.
