Rules & Regulations of the Kaysville Ponds

Trails, Fishing, and Recreational Activities

The ponds are located on USU Botanical Center property and are managed by a team from USU Extension in partnership with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR). There are approximately 1.5 miles of trail around the ponds offering opportunities to view wildlife, exercise and get outdoors. It’s common to see people fishing, paddle boarding, or walking their dogs on a daily basis.

The ponds are stocked with Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill and Channel Catfish by the DWR. Fishing licenses are required. More information about fishing regulations in Utah can be found on the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources website

Pond Activities

The Kaysville Ponds are a wonderful place to recreate and connect with nature. The 1.5 miles of trails provide space for wildlife viewing, exercise, safe social distancing and more.
