2024 Weber County Fair (August 7th - 10th)

Exhibiting in the County and State Fair is an important highlight of a member's 4-H experience. Weber County 4-H members are eligible to exhibit in the Weber County Fair, which is held in August each year.

  • Junior Livestock Show: 4-H youth must be 8 years old AND in 3rd grade as of September 1st of the current 4-H year (September 1 - August 31) to be eligible to participate in a junior livestock project (beef, sheep, goat, or swine) and meet registration/tagging deadlines to show at the Weber Jr Livestock Show at the Weber County Fair. Livestock youth MUST be registered as a 4-H member by April 1st and attended two educational events.  Click here for the Weber Jr. Livestock guidelines.
  • Indoor 4-H Exhibits: 4-H members in K-12 grades are eligible to enter indoor exhibits in the Weber County Fair.

4-H Indoor Exhibits Important Dates:

  • July 1:  Registration opens for 4-H Indoor Exhibits. When registering your exhibits, it is important that they are in the correct division/class. Also, provide a short, detailed description of the exhibit (e.g. chocolate chip cookies, red & blue shorts, etc.). Providing detailed descriptions helps us when trying to locate exhibits

  • July 26:  Registration closes at 5:00pm for all 4-H Indoor Exhibits.

  • August 5:  Exhibit check in is from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at the Weber County Fairgrounds in the Exhibit Hall. Entry tags will be attached at this time and items placed for judging. NO refrigerated items will be accepted. All items should be submitted ready for display—please ensure gardening items are on sturdy plates and any small items such as bead projects are attached to a 3x5 index card or another similar backing.

  • August 7:  Premium money is available to pick up from the Weber County Fair at the Premium Bank inside the Golden Spike Arena (northwest entrance).

  • August 12:  Exhibit pick up is from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Weber County Fairgrounds in the Exhibit Hall. The 4-H Office will not be responsible for exhibits not claimed at this time. Perishable items will NOT be returned, but ribbons awarded MUST be picked up on this day.

    Items selected for the State Fair will be retained until after the State Fair. Please note that perishable items selected for the State Fair will need to be resubmitted to the Weber County 4-H Office (see below).

  • August 27:  State Fair perishable items need to be resubmitted to the 4-H Office between 8:00am to 5:00pm.

  • August 30:  Last day to pick up premium money from the Premium Bank.

  • September 4:  All State Fair garden exhibits need to be submitted to the 4-H Office between 8:00am and 10:00am for judging. Garden exhibits MUST be deemed state fair quality by a specialist before being sent. These items should arrive ready for display on sturdy plates.

  • September 17:  All State Fair exhibits, ribbons, and premiums must be picked up from the 4-H Office between 8:00am to 5:00pm. The 4-H Office will not be responsible for exhibits not claimed at this time.
