Utah Tomato, Pepper, and Eggplant Production

Tomatoes and peppers are some of the most popular crops grown by Utah farmers. These high value crops are best marketed through roadside stands, wholesale, or "u-pick" operations. Tomatoes can be categorized by maturity class (early, midseason or late), fruit size (cherry, pear, plum or large), plant size (determinate, semi-determinate or indeterminate), fruit color (red, pink, yellow, orange), or use (fresh, process or dual use). Though popular, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants can be susceptible to many insect, disease, or abiotic problems.
