Unleash your inner animal enthusiast at the Utah 4-H Spring Small Animal Showdown! This exciting event is a must-attend for all 4-H members with small livestock projects including rabbits, chickens, and ducks. Dive into educational clinics on raising and showing rabbits, poultry, and ducks learning valuable skills from experienced mentors. Then put your knowledge to the test! Show off your skills in the showmanship ring and participate in the Small Animal Skill-a-thon.

Who can participate?

This event is open to all registered 4-H members, including Cloverbuds (Grades K-12). All skills levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. Don't miss this fun-filled day of learning and showmanship!

Cost is $30 per participant, with or without an animal. This price includes all activities, lunch, and a Small Animal Showdown feed scoop. Additional meels for siblings and parents will be available for purchase at registration.

When: April 18, 2026  |  8:45 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.

Where: Sanpete Events Center
520 N. 100 E., Manti, UT

Cost: $30 per participant

Schedule Outline:

  • 8:45 a.m. — Check-in
  • 9:00 a.m. — Overview & Explanation of Day
  • 10:00 a.m. — Rabbit Showmanship & Skill-a-thon
  • 12:30 p.m. — Poultry Showmanship & Skill-a-thon
  • Lunch Provided
  • 3:00 p.m. — Awards

Registration

  • Registration is open until April 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Late Registration runs from March 7—13, 2026 with an additional $5 fee
  • Youth Registration: $30 per participant (with or without live animal)
  • Additional lunch tickets for parents/guardians, siblings, or guests $10 each
