Rylie Rowser

My 4-H experience started right after I was in a serious accident with one of my horses, I was kicked in the head.  Once I was told I could ride again but only if I wore a helmet. Helmets in the rodeo world weren’t that cool.   I wanted to find something I felt like I would fit in and my mom found out that helmets were starting to be a requirement in 4H.  4-H was the first place I felt as if I fitted in.  Fitting in was where it all started for me and now I’ve been in 4-H for 9 years. Being in 4H I’ve had many experiences and opportunities that I had no idea was available within the 4H programs.  These experiences and opportunities have been thing such as leadership, services, retreats were I have met many people from all over the state and become friends with them.

Breanna French

I have been in 4H for 6 years. I have been apart of The Silverados and Guns & Roses riding groups. My 4H experience has been absolutely amazing. Ive learned so much about horses and so so much about myself. Horses have helped me through a rough time in my life and they are my passion. On the side I sing and dance a little, but horses are always my go to. I have shown 4 different horses in my 6 years and one of them was a project (stella, the one in the photo). I worked with her from the bottom up and after 2 years we made it to state in the senior age group. I am currently in my 2nd year as a senior and will cherish these last few years as much as I can.

Olivia Larsen

I have been in 4-H for 6 years. I started the horse 4-H program when I was 11 years old. Through my years in 4-H I have learned and grown so much, and my confidence in my riding has sky rocketed. My passion without doubt is riding! I love to participate in the western horse shows and western camps. I have the opportunity of serving in Cache County’s 4-H royalty this year. I am so excited to be a representative for the state of Utah’s horse 4-H program by being an ambassador.

Sarah Phillips

I am a senior at Mountain Crest High School. I have a unique perspective on being a 4-H horse club member. In my seven years in 4-H, I have participated in every aspect of the 4-H horse program including Western, English, Two Hand, Working Ranch and the Mustang Challenge. I have participated in the USU state competitions in Hippology, Horse Bowl, and Horse Judging. Outside of 4-H, I also compete in Rein Cow, AQHY A and open horse shows.

The Two Hand and Mustang programs have helped prepare me to move forward in a career in the horse industry. My father and I current own and run a horse training business, Wandering Fox Ranch LLC. I especially enjoy starting young colts and giving them a solid foundation. I plan to attend USU with a major in Equine Science and minor in Business. While there, I would like to ride with their English and Western teams.

Paiton Butterfield

I have been in the 4-H program for six years now, but have been riding my whole life. I have been a county ambassador for the past two years and am ready to step it up a notch.  When I heard about this program I got so excited and knew I had to be a part of it. I would love to see the horse program grow and change in all the right ways I am so excited to be able to take part in this new experience and opportunity!
