Western 4-H Institute is a gathering of 4-H professionals from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. This event happens every 4 years and is designed for new 4-H professionals. State 4-H Program leaders invite faculty and staff with a 4-H assignment to attend this conference.

Attendees will develop a foundation in 4-H basics and youth development, network, and leave with an arsenal of tools for thriving in a 4-H career!

Travel

Our hotel is conveniently located in downtown Salt Lake City, near the interchange for I-80 and I-15. The Trax light rail conveniently runs from the Salt Lake International Airport close to the front door of the Hotel (Arena Station - $2.50 one way). Key downtown attractions, including Temple Square and the Salt Palace Convention Center, are within walking distance of the hotel. The light rail TRAX station offers easy access to the rest of the city.

From Salt Lake City International Airport

By Personal Vehicle: Exit the airport via Terminal Drive and Crossbar Road, following signs for I-80 E toward City Center/Ogden/Provo. Merge onto I-80 E and drive about three miles. Take Exit 121 and stay right to keep heading toward 600 S (rather than merging onto I-15). Continue onto W 600 S and drive about 0.4 miles. Turn left onto 300 W, drive for almost a mile, and then turn right onto S Temple. The hotel will be on your right.

By Trax:  There is a direct train departing from Airport Station and arriving at Vivint Arena Station. Services depart every 20 minutes, and operate every day. The journey takes approximately 17 min.
