Youth Education
Crafting Change
The Tribal and Rural Wellness Initiative is excited to present the Crafting Change Teen workshops, tailored for Uintah County teens to build essential life skills in a fun and supportive environment. These workshops highlight resiliency, coping strategies, and emotional well-being, empowering young people to navigate challenges and thrive. Through hands-on activities, group discussions, and creative projects, teens will learn practical tools to manage stress, strengthen their mental health, and foster positive connections with peers.
Well Connected Communities
USU Extension participated in the Well Connected Communities grant for six years, to advance a Culture of Health in conjunction with Robert Wood Johnson and 4-H. The partnership focused on three main elements: designing a sustainable network structure to promote health and well-being in communities across the nation; creating and disseminating tools for healthier communities; launching a training curriculum for local community advocates.
