Biography

As the Youth Programs Assistant, Cat leads engaging educational programs for the kids who visit Swaner. She hopes to create safe spaces where kids can express themselves and build meaningful connections with their environment. Her passion for the outdoors began with childhood camping trips with her dad, which instilled her love for adventure. Cat joined the Swaner team in summer 2024 as an Environmental Educator for an internship while attending the University of Utah. After earning a BS in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from the University of Utah in 2024, with emphases in land management and outdoor adventure planning, Cat brings her enthusiasm to build a deeper appreciation for nature among young learners. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, canyoning in Hanksville, bouldering, and spending time with her toothless cat at home.
