Vendor Application Information

This market aims to feature local artists whose work highlights the beauty of the natural world, fosters a deeper connection to nature, and/or inspires action to care for our environment. We look forward to creating a community experience that encourages guests to shop local with items that help us to preserve, educate, and nurture both people and our planet!

Market Details

• Date: Saturday, December 5
• Market Time: 10 am - 4 pm
• Location: Swaner EcoCenter
• Artists: Approximately 20 local artists
• Booth Space: Approximately 4' × 6' per vendor
  • Vendors should plan their inventory, displays, and other materials to fit entirely within their assigned space and may not extend into walkways or neighboring booths.
• Application Fee: Free
• Booth Fee: None

Applying

What We're Looking For

We are looking to support local artists who are creating handmade work that highlights the beauty of the natural world, fosters a deeper connection to nature, and/or inspires action to care for our environment. This can range from 2D artwork, ceramics, fiber art, glasswork, photography, woodworking, jewelry, handmade accessories, hand-poured candles, and so much more.

How to Apply

Applications open on September 16th and close on October 15th.

• November 1st – Artists are notified of their accepted, waitlisted, or declined application via email.  

Artist Selection

Because space is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. A selection committee will review all applications and select artists based on how well their work aligns with Swaner’s mission and the Wild Winter Art Market goals. We will also consider the overall variety of artists, mediums, styles, products, and price points. 

Information for Accepted Vendors

Fees

There is no application or booth fee, but we kindly ask vendors to consider donating a small portion of their sales (5-10%) to support Swaner. An email with more information about how to donate will be sent after the market.

Sales & Sales Tax

Each vendor is responsible for managing their own sales, including payment processing, cash handling, receipts, and inventory. Swaner will not process sales on behalf of vendors.

Vendors will be required to charge Summit County Sales Tax. Vendors will receive their Temporary Sales Tax License (TC-790C) via mail. Some vendors may get forms emailed to them if they opted for electronic TC-790C delivery.

Set-Up & Tear-Down

Additional details regarding vendor arrival time, parking, unloading, and tear-down procedures will be provided before the market.

Promotion

Swaner will promote the market through our social media, website, local community calendars, radio, press releases, and monthly newsletter. We also encourage you to follow us on Instagram at @SwanerPreserve and share the event with your own networks!

Artists will be featured on Swaner’s Instagram and website, featuring images of your work and the artist bio you provide in your application. We’ll also provide marketing materials for you to share to help spread the word about the market!
