2023 Camp Schedule & Themes

Tuesday, February 21:
Winter Naturalist

Join us in the outdoors to see that nature doesn’t stop as the temperatures drop! Campers will
discover how to track signs of wildlife on the Preserve, learn about the amazing adaptations
both plants and animals have to survive harsh weather conditions, and acquire naturalist skills
that will make them cool as ice to friends and family!

Wednesday, February 22:
Frozen in Time

Get a grip on the Ice Age as we dig into prehistoric times. Campers will have a blast with the
past as they discover the massive megafauna that roamed North America, investigate climate
change, and get a glimpse of how early humans survived harsh climates.

Thursday, February 23:
Surviving the Snow

Become a winter warrior as we take on the harsh conditions of the outdoors! We won’t leave
you on thin ice as we explore the basics of snow shelters, fire building, and navigation. Campers
will go from surviving to thriving in the snow by the end of this adventurous day!

Friday, February 24:
Snow Sleuths

Grab a magnifying glass and come prepared to explore the science of snow! Campers will spend
time investigating different types of snowflakes, discover why animals live under the snow, and
explore the importance of the Greatest Snow on Earth!
