MOTHER FROM BOX ELDER COUNTY, UTAH BECOMES A CERTIFIED REMOTE WORKER AND NOW WORKS FROM HOME

Laura

"At 20 hours a week I do marketing and social media for Box Elder Extension. I am remote, with the exception of taking event photos and the occasional video footage. I used to be the 4-H program coordinator and upon my maternity leave I started doing some remote up-keep and we decided as an office that it was nice to have someone to exclusively focus on marketing and social media. I am incredibly grateful to still be a member of the team, and to do so remotely makes my momma heart happy.

I love the ROI program, I thought the networking and tools we're incredible. It also made working remotely feel like a normal concept. I was initially really insecure about working remotely, and thought for sure that it would not last, but it's happening everywhere! I think the timing of it is also really cool...to have USU who taught the course turn around and support me remotely is awesome."
