County Horse Shows

Iron County usually has four horse shows per year.

We will have six events, of which three will be judged events, and three will be speed events. 
Events for 2024-2025 will be:

Year End Award Requirements

Year End award requirements for the Iron County 4-H Horse Program are as follows:

  1. Do a Demonstration OR a Portfolio.   
    • Sign ups will be sent by the 4-H Extension office.  
    • Demonstrations will be held April 19th and 20th.
    • Portfolios will be submitted to the Iron County Fair for judging and will be due by the deadline for 4-H entries in the fair.  Refer to the current Exhibitor & 4-H Workbook for more information.
  2. Participate in two (2) 2-hour fundraisers.
  3. Participate in two (2) 2-hour clinics.
  4. Complete two (2) 2-hour services.
  5. Sign up for 4-H through ZSuite. ($10 charge)
  6. Participate in at least one (1) horse show unless horseless and/or doing Scholar only.  ($30 for access to all 4-H Horse shows, $15 if doing Scholar)
  7. Parent volunteers: Each youth are required to have at least one parent volunteer at a minimum of one show per year (for duration of show).  A list of volunteer jobs and a sign-up sheet will be available prior to each show.  Volunteers will need to sign up via ZSuite.
