Community Engagement

Without good community engagement, elected officials and policymakers may rely too heavily on personal assumptions of what changes should happen in a community. Decisions made without robust  local dialogue may lack the support needed to be most successful, and the community may lose trust in their elected officials if they feel their voice is not heard. This can cause problems for both current and future efforts to tackle challenges.

This toolkit includes several topic specific toolkit pages around a number of common community engagement challenges. Click on each to find additional resources and case studies in each topic area.
