The Free Roaming Equid and Ecosystem Sustainability network will host two free public webinars with the first one starting on April 5, 2023 and the second April 25th  to demonstrate PopEquus and answer questions about the model. The webinars will feature scientists from the USGS and BLM who helped develop the tool.


 

Title: PopEquus-A tool for modeling wild horse population response to management

The US Geological Survey (USGS) released a new wild horse modeling program to the public. The Free Roaming Equid and Ecosystem Sustainability network will host two 90-minute free public webinars starting on April 5, 2023, and the second April 25th, 2023 to demonstrate PopEquus and answer questions about the model. Both webinars will begin at 10:00 AM, MST. The webinars will feature scientists from the USGS and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) who helped develop the tool.

The public is encouraged to visit the website to review the model and send questions ahead of time to FREES@usu.edu. There will be a FREES moderator handling questions from the audience received ahead of time and during the webinar.
