USU Equine Experience

Welcome to USU's Equine Experience

USU Equine Experience community sessions are directed by university faculty, who are industry-certified instructors, with the assistance of trained student and community volunteers, and specially prepared horses. USU Equine Experience programs are part of USU's Extension mission and include adaptive riding for individuals with disabilities, military Veteran horsemanship experiences, driving programs, equine-assisted learning activities, and other equine-assisted services. Through involvement in these programs, USU students apply what they have learned in academic courses to effect change in the community.

Our program is a member of both the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH, Intl.) and the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) and abides by strict guidelines for safety and effectiveness.
