Davis County Fair 4-H Indoor Exhibit
DAVIS COUNTY ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF 2020 COUNTY FAIR.
We are working hard to develop a "Plan B" to make sure we are able to showcase the hard work of our 4-H youth and their projects. Please continue to advise and encourage your youth to work on their projects. We will have an alternative showcase for county fair projects and are looking for solutions for youth that need to sell their livestock. We will release that information as soon as it is available.
Thank your for your continued support of the Davis County 4-H program.
The County Fair is a longstanding tradition in Utah communities and for Davis County 4-H. Youth showcase projects they create to demonstrate what they have learned. There are hundreds of project options as you will see in the fair guide below (drawing, baking, sewing, Lego creations, original poems, animal diagrams, etc.) There is so much that our 4-Hers are learning and we would love to see them receive guidance and get recognized – we are always working to “Make the Best Better”. See you at the Fair!
Steps and Tips for Participating in the Davis County Fair 4-H Indoor Exhibit
This resource is an outline of the steps to participating in the Davis County 4-H Fair Exhibit from 4-H registration to bringing your projects over to the fair. It also includes some tips for categorizing the projects correctly.
Many projects require a brief description to accompany the project per rules in the Fair Book. Use the project explanation sheet below to provide a brief description that tells any of the following in regards to the project: the youth’s story, meaning, perception, knowledge, experience, etc. that helps the judges score the project. The project and the description will both be used for judging based on the Class and Lot it was entered in. An explanation sheet represents only one project. Encourage youth to use their best handwriting or type on a computer.
