VaRonica Little

Biography

VaRonica has worked in the field of substance abuse and mental health for 17 years. She has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah, works at the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and is the State Opioid Treatment Authority for Utah. In addition, she is co-chair for the Utah Coalition for Opioid Overdose Prevention (UCO-OP) steering committee and participates on many task forces and coalitions to connect and partner with communities and providers who are focused on helping Utah effectively combat addiction.

Her presentation will cover current substance use and overdose trends in Utah, give an overview of the opioid and stimulant response projects, and discuss how the opioid litigation funding will be used throughout the state.
