 Dr. L. Alexander Patrick

Biography

Dr. Le'Brian Alexander Patrick, a Louisiana native, currently serves as residential faculty in the Social Sciences Department and the Honor's Program at Glendale Community College, Glendale, AZ. He serves the GCC community on both the Main and North GCC campuses. Dr. Patrick also currently serves as one of the Co-coordinators for the GCC Diversity Committee.

Dr. Patrick received his Bachelor's in Anthropology, Master's in Sociology and Women's and Gender Studies, and Doctorate in Sociology, Criminology, and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Louisiana State University. His primary area takes an intersectional approach to understanding the interplay of Gender, Sexuality, Race, Ethnicity, Inequality, and Criminology. Studying in these primary areas, Dr. Patrick, specializes in qualitative research methodologies.

As a Sociologist, he understands and appreciates the diversity of the landscape of our world, the factors that impact our abilities to exercise free will and the necessity to understand our equitable journey as we travel towards equality and inclusion for all.
